PERSONALITY
Cloudleap is a notoriously shy she-cat who tends to fade into the background-- a textbook wallflower. She's very kindhearted and has a persistent desire to help others, to prove herself, but she scares easily and will defer to just about anyone who asserts themselves. A raised voice or pointed glare is all it takes to cow her into submissiveness and while Cloudleap has a imaginative, quick thinking mind she's typically very reluctant to speak of her own thoughts or opinions. Needless to say, she's extremely shy, but enjoys making friends whenever another cat seems receptive to it. Any who interact with her will need to be patient-- carefully navigating her jumpy, meek demeanor --however as a friend Cloudleap is loyal, supportive, and will give her whole heart to those she cares about. It's easy to hurt her because of this, and she's easy to manipulate with small doses of attention as she instinctively contorts herself to gain favor.
HISTORY
Cloudkit was born alongside two brothers during the warmest days of greenleaf. Though she was smaller and a bit less robust than her wailing brothers, all three kits as well as their mother, Doehop, were deemed to be perfectly healthy once the birth was done. Cloudkit's brothers-- Oakkit and Pinekit --were a notoriously troublesome pair, getting underneath everyone in BranchClan's paws, and their sister Cloudkit trailed along after the two as the ever more meek and softspoken of the trio. It was a happy, lively kithood for all of them, though, except for the matter of their father, Badgertail. A dark, burly tom, he passed by the Nursery only rarely and paid only a detached sort of interest to his two sons, largely ignoring his small, quiet daughter. The tension between Doehop and Badgertail was noticeable even to the young kits, as well, and their mother was constantly very meek in the presence of their father, voicing no protests against his rare visits or unfriendly attitude.
This continued into Cloudpaw and her brothers' apprenticeships, and all three were glad to get out of the Nursery and begin training by the time that their sixth moons rolled around. Oakpaw and Pinepaw were assigned similarly ambitious, battle talented warriors-- Firestrike and Windpelt --while Cloudpaw was given to a somewhat younger she-cat named Cottonpetal. Cloudpaw was eager to learn from her new mentor and, at least at first, the older she-cat passed on the basics of patrolling, battle, and hunting to her apprentice. Eventually, though, Cottonpetal began to grow bored of training her charge and Cloudpaw found more and more of her planned lessons shrugged off in favor of courting the local toms, leaving her listless. It was either sit around learning nothing or try another approach, so she began trailing after her brothers as she had in kithood and training alongside them and their mentors.
It was when the three siblings were only days away from their final assessments that a border scuffle broke out with MeadowClan one day and, tragically, their mother was brought back baring fatal wounds that she died from hours later. Though Doehop had only been slightly more nurturing than their father, her three kits mourned her still and were shocked by what they witnessed shortly after-- Badgertail walking alongside a new she-cat named Willowface, who became pregnant only weeks later. Oakpaw and Pinepaw confronted their father in a rage, demanding why he'd taken a new mate only days after his previous was murdered, and his responding contempt destroyed any lingering relationship between them, leaving Cloudpaw and her brothers estranged from both Badgertail and the new family he would soon be bringing into the world.
Despite the hurt of the new rift, all three siblings easily flew through their assessments and were given their warrior names to become full members of BranchClan soon after. Oakheart, Pinetalon, and Cloudleap. They then settled into normal warrior life for a peaceful few moons, keeping together in a small, yet intact family, before tragedy came to strike again. It was a badger this time, falling upon a dusk patrol that Oakheart and Pinetalon had been attending. The two young warriors met the attack bravely alongside their Clanmates and they fought ferociously, bravely, working in time as they'd been trained, but that did not save them. Multiple cats were killed and gravely injured that day, including Cloudleap's two brothers who were dragged back to camp and buried the next morning.
She hasn't really recovered from that. Cloudleap became far more meek and reserved following the death of her brothers, mourning for moons and up to the present for what had been the last of her family, and since then she's gone along with the motions of warriorhood as best she can. Her father's new mate gave birth to two kits a moon after her brothers' deaths-- Ivykit and Mosskit --but she hasn't interacted with any of her estranged family and keeps a careful distance.

OTHER INFORMATION
- She was given the suffix -leap for her long limbs and impressive climbing abilities. She is very comfortable up in the treetops and can move from branch to branch as if running on the earth.
- Cloudleap is rather good at hunting birds and squirrels, but not so great at hunting on the ground. She's also mediocre at best in battle due to how meek and easily startled she is.
- She loves collecting smooth stones and fuzzy textured leaves. Rubbing her pawpads over them to feel the texture is a common, idle habit for her.
- Snow is her favorite weather, but she doesn't like getting near rivers or other bodies of water.
