HISTORY
0-6 moons
Masquerade was born to a beautiful queen named Victoria and has two littermates. Her sister, Soirée, and her brother, Phantom. The kits father was unknown to them, as Victoria had been bred with many toms to produce many litters for wealthy no-fur clients. Masquerade and her littermates were Victoria's 3rd litter.
The kits grew up in a nice home, lavish and well cared for. They were well fed, kept clean, up to date on shots. They were socialized often with no-furs, learning quickly how easily they were to manipulate into their paws.
Or perhaps, that was just Masquerade.
She was the prettiest of the litter, with long fur and very distinct silver markings with wide, soft green eyes. It was no wonder she was chosen to become a show cat later on.

6-8 moons
At 6 moons Masquerade was adopted by a white suburban family. You know the ones who probably drive nice cars, have those weird names and have the typical Speak To You Manager Voice Soccer Mom.
Ahem.
Point being, she was showered with affection, but only on her terms. She got the best food, the softest of pillows. Everything her heart desired was her's with seemingly a flick of her tail.
However, this brief period of lazy, happy days was soon to be over with the hustle and bustle of the show cat world.

8-18 moons
At first, the shows were fun. They made Masquerade feel like a queen, and she enjoyed the pampering, oh yes. Her fur just had to be perfect, or she would caterwaul until all was made right.
But the best part of the shows were all the other pretty mollies.
Soft and sleek Siamese with beautiful blue eyes.
Large Maine Coon mollies, with big powerful paws that made Masquerade shiver.
Cute Japanese Bobtails, timid but fierce.
Oh yes. Show cat life was just fine indeed.
However, it didn't take long for Masquerade to become restless. She was getting tired of being constantly in a car, riding along the roads for days on end.
She was tired of not having a proper litter box, for goodness sake. Going outside like some wild cat.
And then finally, it seemed as if her cries had been answered. She was finally back home, no more cage, no more car, and finally her soft fluffy bed.
But as luck would have it, that time was also cut short.
After a playdate with her no-furs, who often brought their cat Tourmaline, a Devon Rex. Tourmaline had gotten word that the only reason Masquerade was brought home was so she could become a breeder, like her mother instead.
And that just wouldn't do at all.
She didn't want kits, not now. Maybe not ever, the thought repulsed her.
So, she made a decision that night. When Tourmaline's no-fur's left, she shot out the front door and into the unknown.
She has now wandered into clan territory and is completely lost.
