The large tom regarded the startled medicine cat silently for a few moments, though a hint of amusement gleamed in his dark eyes. "... My apologies. I didn't mean to startle you." With a grunt, Graystar carefully set the mouse down on the floor and carefully pushed it towards Gophergaze with an indifferent flick of an ear. "I think I'll pass." He responded as he slowly sat down, resting his tail on his paws. "I've already eaten my fill." It wasn't very often the leader visited Gophergaze in the medicine den. He usually left her to her own devices, while he went about his own duties as leader.

Starclan knows he was a hard worker. A little bit too hard, perhaps. It had only been a few short moons since Graystar had stepped forward to take control of the clan, but he definitely took the position seriously. So it wasn't very often he would take the time to relax... But it was currently quiet in the camp, everyone going about their usual duties. Besides, he had wanted to check in on their medicine cat-- which proved to be a good idea, it seemed. He knew what it was like to get so wrapped up in your duties that you forgot to take care of yourself.

"You work so hard. Don't forget to care for yourself." Perhaps he should be taking his own advice, he mused with a wry smile. He quickly dismissed the thought, though. After all, the clan was relying on him!
