bramblefang and blossomsong were a respected pair of cats in branchclan. the family line was known for their incredible stealth and fighting prowess, a reputation that boragestrike was always expected to live up to. boragestrike was always eager to live up to his parents' standards, but his brother was always much more reluctant.
as a young cat, boragepaw was willing to let yarrowkit have their fun. yarrowkit was six moons younger, and for the most part, boragepaw assumed they would eventually grow out of it and learn that it was time to represent the family properly. as he was older, boragepaw typically took his training more seriously than the other cat did, something that was a bit infuriating to boragepaw. eventually, boragestrike finished his apprenticeship and was given his warrior name -- his suffix was given for his strong and accurate attacks.
boragestrike and his brother served the clan for many moons. boragestrike grew to be a respected member of the clan who fully represented his family's name -- but yarrowflight was less than exemplary. unfortunately, their father agreed. as their parents were older, his father especially, boragestrike was there for their father's death. bramblefang died in an accident, but on his deathbed -- he insisted that yarrowflight was a stain on the family tree, that needed to be removed or the family wouldn't be the same.
boragestrike took this to heart -- and while he tries to resist these teachings, there's only going to be so much more he can take before he just... snaps.
