HISTORY
- She was born in late leafbare two years ago with her sibling Dawnclaw. She already had an older brother, Lightfur.
- Gooseflower was a very good mother with a strong love of kits. She spent as much time as she could with Tallkit and Dawnkit.
- Tallkit hated her sister, Dawnkit, from the start for being selfish and controlling. Tallkit vowed to never be like her, but Gooseflower did the most she could to try to bring her daughters together.
- Dawnkit eventually stopped picking on Tallkit so much, and they had a civil relationship.
- Longwhisker was a distant but warm father, not showing his face much around the camp. He was always very busy working to keep MeadowClan safe and well-fed. Tallkit admired him very much for that, and wanted to be just like him.
- She enjoyed the elders' stories a lot, and would often make up her own amazing tales. Dawnkit would get annoyed at her for it, saying, "That never happened!"
- She became an apprentice at six moons old, along with Dawnkit, and was given to a big tom named Cloudleap. Tallpaw was small at the time, dwarfed by his size, and thus intimidated. She soon learned that Cloudjump was the nicest cat around, though! He was extremely positive, even when she failed or messed things up really bad.
- Dawnpaw often competed with Tallpaw at everything. Although Tallpaw didn't like it, she was pressued into it by the other apprentices. She would often lose, and that frustrated her to no end. Dawnpaw liked to rub it in her face.
- One day, Dawnpaw dared Tallpaw to a little practice fight in the camp. Their parents witnessed it, and watched as Tallpaw was beaten. Tallpaw, thoroughly humiliated, yelled at Dawnpaw, telling her, "I wish I didn't know you, I hate you, I never wanna talk to you again!"
- Dawnpaw, in all actuality, felt horrible for how she had made Tallpaw feel. But, for whatever reasons, she never tried to mend that piece of their relationship.
- Tallpaw continued the rest of her apprenticeship with her head held low, performing at an average rate - although she was notably fast and agile. She was given the name -feather, and Dawnpaw became -claw.
- As the two sat vigil together, Tallfeather brought herself to silently forgive her sister. They got closer since then, but Tallfeather has always kept her at a reasonable distance.
- It wasn't until her warriorship that Tallfeather got to know her brother, Lightfur, better. He was a serious warrior, not too sentimental about spending time with family. He didn't even want to have a mate or kits. Tallfeather found that behavior peculiar, and tried to keep him company whenever she saw him by himself. She did her best to understand that he was happy just being him. They got fairly close, and eventually realized they had a good synergy when hunting or even fighting.
- It was several moons after Tallfeather became a warrior that Gooseflower started acting very strange. Tallfeather was deeply concerned about her mother, and tried to be there for her. It was hard, though; her mother would say confusing things that didn't make any sense, and do things that were uncalled for. There was one time that Gooseflower attacked Longwhisker unprovoked, and after that everything went downhill. Gooseflower's mental state steadily declined, until she mostly just spoke unintelligible nonsense. Gooseflower's kits watched in sadness as their mother became a former shell of her old self, and began to wither away.
- When Gooseflower suddenly died, it was not necessarily a surprise. But it wasn't taken well by her family. Tallfeather became deeply upset for a while, regretting not having been able to do anything to help Gooseflower. She felt that her mother didn't deserve what had happened to her, but instead of blaming herself or her family, Tallfeather blamed StarClan. Since Gooseflower's death Tallfeather has done everything she can to make it clear that she doesn't respect StarClan anymore. She believes in them, yes, but she does not like them.
- It was a little while after the dust had settled from Gooseflower's tragic end that Tallfeather received an apprentice - Mousepaw. She'd been surprised to be appointed a mentor at a somewhat young age, but Mousepaw was eager to learn and easy to teach. Tallfeather quite liked her, and grew to be protective of the little black she-cat.
- Six moons later, Mousepaw was given her warrior name; Mousenose. Tallfeather was proud, but she wished her mother was there to see her train her first apprentice. Instead, Dawnclaw had become visibly jealous - Dawnclaw wanted an apprentice of her own, too, and didn't see how one of Mousenose's siblings wasn't given to her as well. Tallfeather just ignored her sister; it wasn't her fault, and she couldn't do anything about it.
- Longwhisker was there, though, and he made it very clear to Tallfeather that he was proud of the warrior and mentor she'd become; to not let Dawnclaw get her down on herself. Tallfeather felt a lot better, in general, after that.
- It was not long after that, that Dawnclaw became pregnant with kits. Tallfeather thought that strange; she'd never seen Dawnclaw with a tom from MeadowClan - at least, not in any kind of romantic interaction. When she questioned Dawnclaw about who the father was, her sister became extremely defensive and refused to speak to her. Tallfeather wasn't angry at her sister for that, but rather worried; Dawnclaw was becoming increasingly stressed out and bitter the further along she got in her pregnancy. That wasn't good for the kits.
- When Dawnclaw's kits were born, two were stillborn... the third did not survive more than a day. Tallfeather could hear her sister's wails of grief, and rushed to be there for her - but Dawnclaw pushed her away. Dawnclaw pushed everyone away. Tallfeather gave her sister the space she wanted, and would wait until she was ready.
- Tallfeather has been focusing on her duties as a warrior since that happened, which was a mere eight moons ago, and remains close to Lightfur. Dawnclaw has still been indifferent to mostly everyone, except Longwhisker. But Tallfeather is glad she's talking to their father, at least.
