PERSONALITY
Coyotethroat is and always has been a troublemaker, she started early, organizing attempted escapes from the nursery and using her words like claws. She often sought out freedom and time for herself, a drive that nearly brought her to leave her clan several times over from kithood to adulthood. She is also incredibly paranoid and makes little friends within her own clan other than her sister. For all her faults she’s and incredibly talented fighter relying on her size and brutality to either scare her opponent or at least intimidate them. She never shuts her mouth when she’s nervous pretending to be angry or laughing to hide her distress. She’s snaps from 0 to 100 with her mood, either she’s lounging around camp or she’s out on the go for hours.
HISTORY
Coyotekit got a rough start at life, her abandonment planned from almost the second she was made, her alongside her sister were dumped at her father's paws with little more than a sniff of annoyance from their mother. From then on she nursed against a queen who had just given birth to a single kit and had more than enough milk to spare for the Coyotekit and her sister. From the second she opened her eyes she seemed annoyed by everyone around her. She wanted nothing more than to be outside or alone, slipping out of the nursery when her littermates were sleeping or furiously sniffing at the warriors returning from patrols. Often she was shoved away from the warriors by her father, a swift paw sending her rolling towards the nursery. She verbally lashed out at the other kits to the point where they no longer wanted to play with her other than her own sister and the kit she was raised alongside. Her father visited her rarely other than to discipline her when Robinwhisper became too tired to handle her. Despite her sharp attitude Robinwhisper loved her dearly and when given alone time with Coyotekit she got to glimpse her firecly loving side.
Coyotepaw had learned little in her 6 moons till she became an apprentice, so her leader made her mentor one of the gentler she-cats in the clan, hoping that she would teach Coyotepaw some of her ways. Coyotepaw spitefully rebelled against her new mentor as her relationship with her father became worse and worse and she distanced herself even further from her clanmates. She often came back from “walks” with him in a worse mood than before her words all barbed and vicious instead of hidden behind the guise of a joke. Her first gathering started with a nasty argument with her father that nearly resulted in bloodshed. She lashed out at some Reedclan apprentice and was more than surpirsed when that seemingly calm cat tackled her into the grass. A few moons into her apprenticeship she started making closer friends with her denmate-due to her sister urgings-, the small cat named Cherrypaw who had been with her since she was in the nursery. The little cat seemed to make her days easier and the arguments with her father seem less important.
Coyotethroat loved being a warrior, the freedom of it all made her much friendlier and playful, but she still avoided her father like the plague. She spent most of her times at gatherings talking with the same Reedclan cat she had orginally fought with to further piss off her father. She and Cherryspinner spent most of their free time together, picking up the hobby of collecting little gems to give to random cats at gatherings or decorate their den. She had brough her Reedclan friend a sapphire an an opal after hearing about the death of her former apprentice.
Her father became worse and worse the happier she got, the verbal fights turning into small tussles with sheathed claws. He terrorized her and threatining her mate and sister. She eventually broke down and told her old mentor about the abuse and admitted she was scared and very close to running away from her home just to escape him. Opalnose urged her to tell the clan leader so her father would no longer be a danger to Coyotethroat. The she-cat was saved from making that descion when a storm crossed over the territories, her father died attempting to save an apprentice from the flash flooding. He was buried and mourned by his clan and she allowed her abuse to fade away with him..
